I have a young mother that has fluid coming from her nipples and one has turned inverted. She has the worst diet. I gave her yarrow, calendula and stinging nettles to drink a cup a day. She did for a few days and a sharp headache started. Can you give me some advice?

  4. What is the fluid like? Is there pain?

An inverted nipple can be corrected by using a breast pump before breastfeeding to help shape the nipple a little bit or a nipple shield can also be used. I would suggest to consult a Lactation Specialist if she is still breastfeeding.

Calendula and Nettle should not have caused the sharp headache in my opinion, they are all very gentle. Yarrow is an herb that reduces lactation, according to “Prescription for Nutritional Healing” so i wouldn’t give that to a breastfeeding mother.

How much fluid is she drinking? Does she have any mineral deficiencies?

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book
in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the
message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog.
A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.
